Long Islanders Voted Tradewinds Best Cover Band on Long Island!
Crowds can agree that there is nothing more convincing then a good cover band. From oldies to new songs a cover band brings your favorite tunes to your home stage. We bring you this year’s winners for Best Cover Band on Long Island.
1. Tradewinds
Tradewinds have appeared in this category on the Best of L.I. list for three years running, and the popular cover band show no signs of slowing down. Keeping a full calendar of weddings, parties, corporate events and club gigs, the band’s powerful horn-driven attack is used on a wide gamut of material, covering decades of pop music with technique and soul.
2. Big Shot
It’s not easy to cover songs by Billy Joel on Long Island (we may hold him up to a pedestal of sorts), which is what makes Big Shot so great. They have performed with Billy Joel himself in concert and in his musical Movin’ Out. However, their song repertoire doesn’t end with the Piano Man. They also perform songs from the Beatles, Journey, Elton John and many other artists.
3. That 70’s Band
That 70′s Band brings the funk of the 1970s back to life-and to L0ng Island-placing them on the Best Cover Band list. Energy and fun are their two specialities, and when you add their talent into the mix, you get an amazing musical experience. The band plays nonstop at clubs throughout the Island, so catching them in action is easy.

Come celebrate with Tradewinds as we take on the Nutty Irishman in Farmingdale Friday, 1/14/11 at 7:30pm!
I heard this band at a wedding I attended as guests. They were amazing! My fiance and I can’t wait to have them play at our upcoming wedding.
my vote goes to “the Electric Dudes” long island”s hardest working cover band.
Tradewinds rocks, with a versatility across genres that makes you say “Whoa, how’d they do that”?
I just love the sound of Tradewinds. Heard them several times. They seem to sound and perform better each time, if that’s possible. They have my vote!
Latham Road is a very talented up and coming Long Island cover band! Look for great things in 2012!
I vote for Tradewinds. They are the BEST EVER.
You really should consider Latham Road! The crowd is always into the show and they don’t play the same old songs you hear time and time again by cover bands. Just sayin
i work at the bulldog in amityville and we have bands every saturday. they book latham road as often as possible because our customers love their song selection and they work hard to perfect their act. i know they’ll be on this list soon.
latham road and so was red are long island’s best bands – too late.
