I agree with many of the places on this list, but don’t know if I would put them in the same order….its a tough call. Many places seem to love Aji53 though, I read great reviews on them all over the web and I find them one of the more non-traditional places, which is a nice change. You are forgetting a great place called Matsuya. Saw some pictures of their dishes here http://www.thesushicritic.com/matsuya-great-neck-ny-sushi.html & I can’t wait to go back. Try the foie gras & eel sashimi for sure! There are other great pictures and recommendations on that site http://www.thesushicritic.com/ that I found helpful when deciding on li sushi and figure’d I’s share. Enjoy

There is just no way there is a top sushi listing without kashi Huntington village. I have been to all the “best” on long island as I am a sushi nut, and kashi is the best quality, most creative, and has the best overall service. As I say to my friends “kashi is a high end high quality sushi rest. At an average sushi rest. Price”.

Nisen of Commack is the best sushi and dining experience on the island! My husband and I eat there once a week and he usually goes there for lunch too :) The staff is great and the sushi and cooked food are even better. Hands down Nisen of Commack is the Number 1 Sushi Restaurant.
