These days a meatless menu at a great vegetarian restaurant offers a lot more than tofu, yogurt and carrot sticks. The culinary creations challenge the most particular palate. We bring you this year’s winners for Best Vegetarian Restaurant on Long Island.
Long Islanders Voted Tula Kitchen in Bayshore Best Vegetarian Restaurant on Long Island!
1. Tula Kitchen

Pre-gaming it up at Tula’s fully stocked bar and taste-testing a few of its delicious and nutritious specialty drinks is also advised.

I would also like to acknowledge completely vegetarian Indian restaurants on Long Island: Dosa Diner (www.dosadiner.us), House of Dosas (www.houseofdosas.com), & Madras Woodlands (www.madraswoodlands.com)
Nature’s Best Health Food in Valley Stream (516) 285-4029 offers vegan lunch daily @Noon (except Sunday)
Is there anyplace that has macrobiotic food? It is very hard to find a lot of products when you are on a special diet, like macrobiotics. I wind up ordering most of what I can’t find locally and I am sure it is here I just don’t know where to look. Also, I would love to see a “best of” catagory for vegeterian/vegan products/health food in terms of shopping.
In Jamaica, Queens, you can find two vegetarian restaurants that serve healthy and delicious meals: Annam Brahma Restaurant and Oneness Fountain Heart
