Long Islanders Voted Bobby Nystrom in Huntington Village Best All-Time Islander on Long Island!

It seems as good a time as any to re-open the debate over who can claim to be the Best All-time Islander. The Islanders are just a few years shy of their 40th anniversary, and are now about 20 years out from their early 80′s dynasty, so there’s a substantial history to reflect on. We bring you this year’s winners for Best All-Time Islander of Long Island.

Bobby Nystrom, “Mr. Islander,” catches the top spot being named Best of 2011 All-Time Islander, knocking Mike Bossy out of the No. 1 position he held in 2010. No. 23 continues to work with youths and in November spent the day on the ice coaching members of the American Special Hockey Association. Bobby keeps the dream alive for local hockey-hopefuls and his good sportsmanship has again earned him the accolades that he truly deserves.
