Long Islanders Voted Rich Walker Best Comedian on Long Island !

Rodney Dangerfield, sadly, has been dead for six years, so it’s probably time we pick up our heads and consider who might now be the best comedian from Long Island. What with Don Rickles, Eddie and Charlie Murphy, and Jerry Seinfeld (among countless others), it’s a tough call to make, but you’ve made it. We bring you this year’s winners for the Best Comedian from Long Island.

1. Rich Walker

Rich Walker of Deer Park was voted Best Long Island Comedian and he credits a strong Facebook campaign for garnering so many votes. Rich was an insurance adjuster when he slipped on some ice and broke his ankle. Laid up for a while, Rich said he was always the funny guy who now had the time to write his own material. That was 16 years ago. Rich has honed his craft in clubs across LI and the tri-state area, and he describes his comedic style as “relaxed, but excitable!” Oh, and if you’re at White Post Farms in Melville during the fall, be sure to stop by and see his alter ego, Rodeo Ricky!
