Long Islanders Voted Brendan Monaghan Best LI Duck Player on Long Island!

The Long Island Ducks are now ten years old. Though it’s been six years since they grabbed the league championship title, they’ve knocked out a number of division championships in the past few years, and it’s time we see which player is truly the Best Duck on Long Island. Thus, we bring you this year’s winners for Best Long Island Duck.

1. Brendan Monaghan

Ducks Catcher Brendan Monaghan has taken the top spot as Long Island’s favorite Duck in the pond. Monaghan had a career year in 2010, appearing in a career-high 72 games. The New Jersey native also set career highs in at-bats (237), hits (69) and extra-base hits (22). The former St. John’s Alum was also named to his first All-Star game, going 1-for-2 with a double.
