Long Islanders Voted Randi Milgrim in Glen Cove Best Divorce Lawyer on Long Island!

1. Randi Milgrim
1 Dosoris Lane, Glen Cove. 516-333-7777. www.mylongislandlawyers.com
Divorce lawyer Randi Milgrim believes divorce is not only painful, but a legal maze that no layperson can navigate on his or her own—and that is where she comes in. Milgrim’s greatest strength is “striking a balance between relentless advocacy for her clients and negotiating a compassionate and amicable resolution that is both healthy and fair.” This is Milgrim’s third first-place win in a row. She graduated Magna Law Laude from the Touro College School of Law, where she was selected to the Law Review Editorial Board. Impressive, to say the least. Randi works with Dave Mejias at Mejias, Milgrim & Alvarado, P.C.– Glen Cove Family Attorney. Dave Mejias is Long Island Press Power List hall of famer and together with Randi they comprise “the Power Team”.

I’m glad she won again because my divorce was no easy task. So many details and setbacks, but Randi actually returned my calls. And she had someone follow-up to answer all my questions when she wasn’t available. Randi was never off her game, and Dave Mejias took an interest too. I remember his advice really left an impact. My divorce was stressful but they walked me through it and actually treated me like more than a pay check. I hope they read this

Dave Mejias really was the team leader. Randi handled my divorce but they both sat down with me together and you could tell he wanted to make sure nothing fell through the cracks. My wife was a mess and it started out like a reasonably friendly divorce, but then I was hit with a few curve balls. Mejias knew Randi had it covered but it was like he knew where I was coming from. I referred a coworker to Dave Mejias for something else and he told me that his situation was less overwhelming with Mejias working out things for him. I remember we both thought Dave would be a great guy to hang out with if each of us didn’t find him because of our legal situations.

This is going to sound corny but Randi Milgrim and Dave Mejias were a refreshing change from the other attorneys I met with. Of course, I retained them and met with them several times during my divorce, but they actually had a chemistry that reminded me that partners can get along– when they’re not married! and the way Dave Mejias operated, I could tell he would be a solid defense attorney if I ever landed in jail. My congratulations to Randi.

She looks just like that in person too. Milgrim and Mejias look sharp in person and they know all the ins and outs that kept me out of court. Dave made sure my divorce stayed on track as much as he could. Randi and Dave cleverly cut through the BS with child custody batteling and I have my daughter because Mejias delivers. The divorce was not without regret but thanks and congrats to Randi.

I don’t usually post comments on these things, but after seeing the list of divorce lawyers, you need to know about my divorce lawyer. Wendy Samuelson of Samuelson Hause & Samuelson was fantastic in helping me through a very difficult divorce. I had switched lawyers during my divorce, and the difference was night and day. Wendy returned all of my calls and e-mails same day (which my prior lawyer didn’t). She explained the process to me and educated me in such a way that I understood what I had to gain by settling my case or going to trial. She is a tough negotiator and is very prepared. My case ultimately settled, and best of all, I still have a good relationship with my ex-wife because Wendy handled this matter in such a decent way. (In fact, she insisted that my ex and I go to counseling together to make sure we stay friends and have a united front with our children, which was the best advice I ever received.) I heard nightmare stories from my friends about their divorces and how their lawyers lead them down a path of litigation because things weren’t explained to them well and how they have bad relationships with their exes because the divorce wasn’t handled well. I’m so glad I had Wendy and recommend her to anyone going through a divorce.

If you want a divorce lawyer who will always return your calls, keep the process running smoothly, and guide you through the inevitable conflicts and hurdles I suggest Wendy Samuelson of Garden City. Wendy came to me by recommendation of a fellow attorney, and I’ll tell you why. She’s professional, no nonsense, tough when she has to be, comforting when you need her to be. I’ve listened to enough other peoples divorce horror stories, and I have Wendy to thank that I don’t have one of my own to share !

I don’t know Randi, but my divorce attorney was terrific. See Wendy Samuelson first if you want the best!

Tom and PW, I am with you! Wendy Samuelson and her firm are the best around. She really listened to me and respected my wishes on how I wanted my divorced handled. I was not looking for a long, drawn out battle and Wendy was able to settle my case without my having to step into a courtroom. Her associates are just as professional and efficient as she is. I was very lucky to have been recommended to her.

I dont understand how Bruce and Robin Guttman were not included in this list. Guttman & Guttman handled my divorce and were able to settle my case. Before coming across them I had hired 4 other well known firms on long island, none of which were able to make much progress in my case. My ex husband is an attorney himself and had endless resources to attack. If not for the Guttmans i would have lost everything. They should be at the top of this list! Thank you for ending my 7 year battle and giving me my life back!

Divorce is a very emotional and draining process to go through. I was given a few recommendations for divorce attorneys and made appointments to consult with all of them. When I finally went in for my consultation and met with Wendy Samuelson, of Samuelson Hause & Samuelson, in Garden City, I was overcome with relief and confidence that I had finally found the right person to represent my case! Wendy and her colleague, Alisa Gefner, were always there for me with all my questions whether by phone or email and were very supportive when things got tough. I was encouraged to do as much research myself to help keep the costs down and was so impressed at Wendy’s professionalism in front of the judge and in our conferences with the opposing attorney and my ex. Wendy’s knowledge and confidence catapults her to the top of the list when it comes to Divorce Attorneys. Wendy is my “Wonder Woman” and she and her firm really represent their motto: “We’re the calm beneath your storm”.
