Long Island has been a playground for some of the most influential artists of our time-Jackson Pollock, Andy Warhol, and countless others. So it only makes sense it would also be home to some of the most influential pieces of art and unique art galleries and museums.

The LICP got its start in 1996 and has worked to increase the awareness of photography on Long Island. Under the work of Oyster Bay artist, Horst P Horst, its first symposium on photography and related media opened in 1998 as well as its exhibition at the Nassau County Museum of Fine Art.
3rd Place – Les Bons Amis Art Gallery, 7A The Plaza, Locust Valley. 516-277-1082. www.lbaartgallery.com
Les Bons Amis is the compilation of the art of many unique, Long Island artists. These artists work onsite and they believe that while art is very remarkable, it is also subjective and vital to the client. Therefore, it is essential that art be magnified and evaluated because each person has his or her own interpretation as to what they are actually seeing.
