There are many wonderful downtowns on Long Island—the two other winners on this list come to mind, and there are at least a dozen others that belong in the conversation, too. Suffolk’s Huntington is always a Best of L.I. winner, and with good reason. This four-time award-winning downtown has the cultural options of a chic urban center, combined with the lovely picturesque qualities of a seaside village. It’s accessible, cool, friendly, striking and pleasant. No wonder it continues to bring in votes and visitors: It deserves them

Being a Huntingtonian transplanted in Norfolk, VA. I watched your clip on the
computer. I am unable to watch WLIW21 where I live now. I would love t be able to
watch the entire show that was broadcasted in June. Do you have a DVD that can be purchased?
I will always have Huntington in my heart. I miss the warmth of our hometown.
i do agree downtown huntington is great but you failed to mention downtown rockville centre. It is loaded with shops, bars, restaurants, and office buildings all near a train station
Huntington is a good town for the north shore but Rockville Centre is the place to be for the South shore. It has plenty of shops, restaurants, and great bar hopping with the train and cab station right at your fingertips.
Sag Harbour
I gotta say Rockville Centre has the best nightlife. Look at it, you got the train station right there, SO many bars, ice cream stores, shops, two diners, a movie theatre, and delis lined up Park Ave, Sunrise Highway, Merrick Road, and N/S Village Avenues. Gotta love RVC!
