We came out with orange, yellow and brown streaks and basically looking like we just spent three hours in a radioactive power plant. Needless to say, stylists are often severely under appreciated. In my opinion and the opinion of most of the press, Rodolfo Valentin Long Island Beauty Center is the best Salon Spa in Long Island NY, as it is showing in the results as a winner of the 2009 best of citysearch in nine nominations, winner of the Grand Design Award and winner of the 2010 top hair colorist award..These results are saying all.
Hello i am sure all are good but for a down to earth shop with the best talent in hail try LINIQUE HAIRCUTTERS lisa been cutting my hair for over 25 years i’ve sent so many people who hated their hair cut or color but paid top dollar and now go to her all the time …i vote LINIQUE OF BABYLON BEST ….

Best hair salon on Long Island is Rodolfo Valentin. The best for hair extensions and the best for hair colorists. To have hair extensions at Rodolfo Valentin Long Island Beauty Center is a great experience. Rodolfo is only there on Saturdays. The rest of the week he is at the New York City location in Madison Avenue. I prefer to see him for haircuts at the Long Island location ( half the price) and then I go during the week to see Franco for hair infusion additions and hair coloring with Maritza. Both are the best hair stylists at the Long Island location. Great service, friendly staff!. The hair infusion additions are the only hair extension I will ever use, safe and gentle to my own hair, I am having them since the past 2 years and I am more than happy!. This place is the hair salon and spa to go in Long Island and probably the only one if you are searching experience and great hair!
What’s funny is all the pissy comments people have are from one salon. I’m sure it’s the owner and friends commenting. I have lived in a high class area in the north shore my whole life and choose Nubest as every other person from long island to NYC. 80% of people heard of Nubest Salon. I hate to inform the haters here but I never heard of your most “wonderful” salon. Ever! Cactus is as well a great salon which I heard of. Very friendly salon!

Cactus messed up my hair…I had to use Wayne Rottkamp at Ultissima & company to fix my hair color… I went in with a major problem and Wayne fixed it on the first try.. Other hair salons tried to fix my problem and only caused my hair to become damaged… Wayne took one look and gave me what I was looking for on the first try.. He has now been maintaining my hair for the last 3 years without one problem.. My vote is for Wayne as the best hair colorist on Long Island…
Until you try Rodolfo Valentin the best hair colorist in Long Island…the problem is like any other star, celebrity hair colorist Rodolfo Valentin is very busy in his New York City, fashionable Madison Avenue salon and he is only available in Long Island in Saturdays ( it is cheaper in Long Island)….mmmmmm.just the best !!!
I tried to get Rodolfo Valentin as a client many years ago, met him, truth is, he didn’t need to advertise. The articles and reviews in the salon itself, which at that time was near the LIRR, are amazing. I had heard of him primarily for the wigs, which are part of the Orthodox Jewish culture for women.
I had three different cutters at Nubest. One was a sloppy, nasty drunk who often had his early week appointments canceled, the other I am convinced showed up deliberately late for my appt., and the other was just fine, but he did a terrible job on a friend of mine. If a guy cuts your hair, stick with the straight males, there’s nowhere near the attitude. You want the real opinion of Nubest? Go look at the reviews on Google, and how similar the negativity.
The trick is to find a real good salon that isn’t anywhere near $175 for a Men’s cut. Look for guys who defected from Nubest like De-Al perhaps. They’re out there, and let’s face it, if you’re young and trim you’re going to look hot anyway, you get past a certain age, nobody is paying attention to your hair.
For men, the best haircuts bar none are in NYC at places like Astor Place Hair Designs., Kevin Bacon, Matt Dillon all go or went there for bargain priced cuts, often by Russians. NY Magazine routinely profiles these places. 605 online reviews, 5 star average.
I visited Rodolfo Valentin Salon in Cedarhurst, at his Long Island Beauty Center last saturday
( the only day that Rodolfo Valentin is there) for a consultation for his famous hair infusion additions. After 15 minutes of talking to Rodolfo I knew I was in the right place to get everything I want about hair. He is really the encyclopedia of hair and knows everything, including how to talk to a women. I get the hair color, hair extensions, and finally the haircut and blow. Result?, the hair I have always dreamed off!. I will follow Rodolfo Valentin to the end of the world!…(for my hair of course).
I totally agree with most of the people comments about Rodolfo Valentin Long Island Salons. It is the only one I will step in for hair color, hair extensions or a total make over. Also their Spa services are really unique!
Reading the reviews I made an appointment at Rodolfo Valentin Long Island Beauty Center last saturday. Leonard, cut and style my hair and it is amazing!. I understand that Leonard is a celebrity hair stylist from New York City and I feel very lucky to have him here in Long Island ( only saturdays) and he is already totally booked. I already did my standing app for every saturday for blowdry. I found he uses to work with the famous Garren, but he moved to Rodolfo Valentin in New York City because Rodolfo Valentin salons are the trendy place to be. Good, I am from Brookville NY and their salon in Long Island is just 15 minutes from home.

Thank you all for the recommendation about Rodolfo Valentin. I have the pleasure of getting there my hair color with Franco very sweet young men after Rodolfo Valentin hair color consultation. Rodolfo really knows about hair like nobody else! Then I got a great haircut with Leonard (I was fascinated to find out that he is the hair stylist of Meryl Streep and Daisy Fuentes!), really a celebrity hair stylist and not expensive at all! Very affordable!

I finally got it! After all the great comments about Rodolfo Valentin I visited them for hair color plus their famous hair extensions, All told here is exactly what expected ( or not enough). I in the Long Island location on Saturday the only day Rodolfo Valentin is there. My hair is better than ever, everybody loves it including my friends, family and specially my husband.
