Best Supermarket on Long Island

by Best Of Long Island on January 5, 2010

Going to the supermarket shouldn’t be a chore. It should be an experience. On Long Island that’s not hard to do.

Long Islanders Voted Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace Best Supermarket on Long Island!

Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace
Multiple locations
www.uncleg.com

Uncle Giuseppe’s replicates the shopping experience of its namesake’s childhood: shopping for the best ingredients, freshest products, meeting up with friends and others and enjoying the sights, sounds and smells of a fresh food market. Uncle Giuseppe’s has the look and feel of an Italian outdoor market—featuring fresh homemade pastas, brick-oven baked breads, deli specialties, the freshest fish and meat—all under the same roof, to the serenade of Italian music. On-premise chefs serve up the goods—and the entertainment. It’s more than just a place to find great food, it’s a full-service supermarket.

Hey, now wait a minute. Maybe all the votes came from Italians. Not that this isn’t a wonderful place, but it is ITALIAN and not everyone wants to buy their food at an Italian supermarket.

I vote for Wild by Nature.
