Great music, great people and great coffee, those are just some of the characteristics that make Witches Brew one of the best coffee houses on Long Island. There are many other qualifying reasons, but we’re given a word count in these blurbs and that could easily be burnt through in a matter of seconds describing this must-destination for caffeine fiends or otherwise. Old furniture, dim lighting and a kick-ass punk rock jukebox add layers to the Brew’s Tim Burton-esque feel. Too young to get into a bar or just done with the bar scene, the Brew is the perfect alternative. It’s also a great place to go after a movie on a first date.

Located in Wantagh, just right by the railroad, this coffee house offers delectable desserts, sandwich melts, teas, coffees and other beverages. It also features great art and music.
3rd Place – Milk & Sugar Café. 49 W. Main St., Bay Shore. 631-969-3655. www.milkandsugarcafe.com
This café has a very intimate, elegant, and sophisticated setting and is located in Bayshore. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Brownstone’s Coffee in Amityville should really be on this list.
I love Milk & Sugar Cafe in Bay Shore. It has such a nice atmosphere. Also, love Tic Toc in St. James…need to get them on the list!
The Hampton Coffee company in Westhampton beach has, by far, the best cup of coffee on the Island, smooth, deep flavor no bitterness, they roast their beans in Bridgehampton, which makes the whole coffee experience more local, they were “Dans” favorite and need to be on this list as well
Brownstones Coffee is Amityville is by far the best!!!
