For the second year in a row, these emporiums of everything bagel take the prize for the morning habit so many Long Islanders can’t live without. It’s not whether the egg is scrambled or fried. It’s about what it’s laying between. Here at Bagel Boss it’s on hot bagels of all varieties, or even a hot onion roll.

Eat in or take out. Breakfast and lunch are served as well as a catering service for any celebration with heroes and platters. There is also a wonderful bakery selection of cookies and cakes as well as hot coffee.

Everything appears to be homemade. The chef has an obvious jones for burgers: The Tricki Vikki burger features cheeseburger with fried egg and bacon – thick and crunchy. They also have sandwiches, salads, homemade soups and free refills on soda.

I am going to have to disagree with this. Bagel Boss is good. Great selection, however A Taste of Honey’s egg sandwich on a fresh onion rolls is unmatched!
Cookys deli in Bohemia is #1 in my book. Lots of bacon and always made the way you like it.
The only drawback is this one cashier girl who annoyingly screams out…NEXT IN LINE, I CAN HELP THE NEXT IN LINE. What a moron big mouth. She must be related to the owners to still be working there. Plus she overcharges you if you dont pay attention. Also count your change… Ive been short changed there numerous times, but only with her.

Deli n Otherwise in Garden City Park was and will always be the hands down Best Egg Sandwich on Long Island!!! A shame though that after 30 years of family owned greatness, The owner Bob, retired and sold the store. There will never be an egg sandwich that will ever come close to the great taste of those sandwiches. If you were fortunate enough to have tried one… Then you were truly a lucky individual!!! Fortunately for me, I was lucky enough to learn his secret way to make those sandwiches. And the family has never been happier at breakfast!!!!!

Bagel Boss has great bagels but if you want bacon on your egg sandwich, you’ll have to go elsewhere. They don’t serve any kind of meat. They have “soy bacon” but it is a poor substitute for the real stuff.
Bagel Boss is so commercial. What people want are real old fashioned kettle boiled bagels. Wellwood bagel store in Lindenhurst has got to be the best. I know I am from Brooklyn where they have the best. I finally found a place just as good in long island.
