Best Farm Stand on Long Island

by Best Of Long Island on January 5, 2010

There’s nothing more delicious, or more fulfilling, than enjoying the produce of one’s own crops, whether it be fruit or vegetable. There’s just something about planting the seeds, maintaining the land and harvesting the end result. Maybe it has to do with the soil. Perhaps it’s knowing that you helped create this food that will now replenish others. Regardless, Long Island is fortunate to be home to some of the very best. Best of L.I. voters weighed in, and they’ve chosen the best farm stand to enjoy the end results of this important and special profession.

Long Islanders Voted Briermere Farms in Riverhead the Best Farm Stand on Long Island!

Briermere Farms
4414 Sound Ave.

Do the crowds that inundate this farm stand even notice that there’s a farm here, with fresh sweet corn and ripe tomatoes in season? Happy customers who have voted Briermere No. 1 every year, see it as more “pie mecca” than farm stand, but then again, by mid-summer you can get fresh vegetables anywhere. But where else can you get pies like these on LI?
