talian food has become Long Island’s signature cuisine, and Vincent’s, in its location at the highly trafficked crossroads of Nassau County, has become a sort-of ambassador to those who travel to the mall across the road. Big and boisterous with platters of pasta and pizza rushed to large tables of hungry locals and shoppers, Vincent’s represents and pleases the crowds with what we crave.
2nd Place – Mamma Lombardi’s, 400 Furrows Rd., Holbrook. 631-737-0774. www.mammalombardis.com
This lovely restaurant is sure to fill your taste buds with the zestful tastes of Italy. They specialize in steaks, seafood and their napoleon makes a great dessert. Their meals are sure to satisfy both quantity and quality, the portions are very large and taste amazing!
3rd Place - Ciao Baby. 5074 Sunrise Hwy., Massapequa Park. 516-799-5200. 204 E. Jericho Tpke., Commack. 631-543-1400. www.ciaobabyrestaurant.com
This fun-filled restaurant has a very happening and vibrant feel to it along with its delicious food and great service. Their house made sangrias are to die for as well as their stuffed rigatoni with vodka sauce. This lounge-like restaurant is sure to please any guest, especially on a weekend.

cara mia due blows vincents away
Ok, I beg to differ. And perhaps I don’t get out of Nassau very much, but I challenge everyone to hit up Blue Moon in Rockville Centre or Stella’s in Bellmore.
Both of these places literally blow away Ciao Baby and Vincent’s. And this is coming from a true blue Italian American who likes to eat macaroni and meatballs.
Appcreiaiotn for this information is over 9000thank you!
Whoever said Vincent’s Clam Bar is the best italian on long island is obviously not ITALIAN! There tomato sauce is inedible!!! Uncle Baccala’s is definitely better!
WOW! You MUST, MUST be kidding me here. 100% kidding me!
I do not know of Mama Lombardi’s but the other 2 Vincent’s & Ciao Baby are FOURTH rate Italian.
You want GREAT TOP NOTCH Italian go to Phil’s Pizza & Restaurant in Massapequa on Hicksville Road in the Waldbaums shopping center. BUT be prepared to WAIT, especially on the WEEKENDS!
The best Italian Restaurant on Long Island is Sole in Oceanside. Have been dining there for many years and never once have had a complaint. A close second in Umberto’s in New Hyde Park. This is coming from someone who is 100% Italian American. (don’t let the last name fool you.) and someone who is originally from Little Italy in Manhattan. There we had the best of the best!
Vincent’s is no where nearrrrr as good as Olio Ristorante in Commack, that place is bangin!
once again i need to educate the public….Emilios is the best.
