Who would have thought the best place to get a martini would be at the post office? In 1928, the U.S. Government leased the building at 130 West Main St., Babylon, to house one of the earlier Post Offices in the Village. Six decades later, the Post Office Cafe now occupies the very same building and serves up one of the best martinis on Long Island. With a weekly Martini Madness celebration, and more than 35 varieties to choose from, once you’ve had a martini at the Post Office, neither snow, nor rain, nor gloom of night will keep you away.
