by Best Of Long Island on January 5, 2010

There is simply nothing more important than your health. For those who have found the need for a stay, there is often no substitute for what they feel is the best Long Island Hospital.

North Shore-LIJ Won Best Long Island Hospital!

North Shore-LIJ
Multiple locations

According to Grey’s Anatomy, the most important people in a hospital are the doctors, who are all very attractive and rife with relationship issues. At the North Shore-LIJ Health System? They’re more interested in helping patients be accurately diagnosed, properly treated and swiftly brought to a full recovery. That could explain why North Shore-LIJ is a back-to-back Best of L.I. winner.

2nd Place – Winthrop University Hospital, 259 First St., Mineola. 516-663-0333.

“Care without compromise” is the motto at Winthrop University Hospital. Patients’ health and well-being are the main concerns. For over a hundred years, the hospital has been a committed health care provider for Long Island. Medical education and research are also a crucial part to the hospital.

3rd Place - St. Francis Hospital, 100 Port Washington Blvd., Roslyn.516-562-6000.

St. Francis Hospital fixes broken hearts; no cupid is not on staff, but there is an array of expert physicians on call. But if your prostrate is giving you some problems, don’t worry, St. Francis Hospital can fix that too. New technology and studies are flourishing at the DeMatties Center for Cardiac Research. The center is also home to the largest medically staffed cardiac fitness and rehabilitation program on Long Island.

Southside Hospital is the most incredible hospital on Long Island, the Care and passion that comes from the staff is incredible. If you do your homework you will find out that Southside was recognized from the state for 0% infections! Check out the neighbors, Oh boy!

EDDIE you are out of your mind….why don’t you stop playing the role…when was the last time you got treated there….place is gross…they have cloth seats in the waiting area…you can see the filth of what ever the other person who was either sick, blood, mucus etc… on the seat itself….look at the floors and the walls…and go into the bathroom it smells like grand central…. the staff are nasty…and they have been cited plenty of times…for medical issues and being unethical…. so before you give an opinion…why don’t you go there and get treated…that is if you don’t work there…only time you see people doing something …is went the Joint Commision is inspecting…. hey people would you eat in a restaurant that appears nasty and trust someone’s bias opinion on how the food is….or would you base it on your own… so instead of getting one man’s opinion who prob works there…go check it out for yourself… go on a typical night…look around use the bathroom have a seat on the nASTY chairs and get treated…then make your own opinion.

The general nickname of Southside in EMS is, “Suicide,” North Shore is good, DEPENDING on which location you go to. Winthrop is good though. Southside or Plainview, hell no, Manhasset, yeah, I would take my family there for treatment without issue. St. Frances will treat you, if they think your illness isn’t too hard for them to treat and if you know someone, other then that your treated like dirt.
