It’s very reassuring to know that your home town’s fire department is voted the best firehouse on Long Island because I’m sure the competition is fierce. There are a lot of local heroes out there in many LI towns who go unrecognized for their selfless actions and sense of duty. Here’s a tip of the hat to Huntington for being named Long Island’s best, and to all the firefighters in every fire house!
“If you’ve ever had a fire in your home, you know it’s terrifying” and that “our fire-fighting skills–not good.” Well, we need to do something about that. . Wherever your home is, no matter how small, it is always important to put safety first.Roni
How is one fire department better than others? They all put out fires. Did Huntington put fires out with more finesse? How did LI Press determine who would be nominated? I doubt anyone on the Island has needed the services of more than one fire department so how does one determine which one is better than another? They all are heros in my book but this poll category is just stupid.
