What would a sporting event be without Mascots to run around and excite the crowd. When considering who might be the Best Mascot on Long Island, it’s important to remember that the qualities of a good mascot can be deceiving. Strength, ferocity, and a classic image are not nearly as crucial as a great personality. We bring you this year’s Best Mascot on Long Island.
Long Islanders Voted Quacker Jack of the Long Island Ducks Best Mascot on Long Island!
1 Quacker Jack, Long Island Ducks
This lovable Leader of the Flock is best known for cheerleading crowds in “Let’s Go Ducks” chants at Long Island Ducks minor league baseball games at Bethpage Ballpark in Central Islip. When he’s not running the bases himself, Quacker Jack has been known to dip his bill into events across the Island to rally for any cause in need of a feathered friend. This is his second consecutive year leading this contest.
2 Wolfie, Stony Brook University Seawolves
3 Sparky, New York Islanders
