What is better than Petting Zoos? It’s like pretending to have a pet for the day, without having to do any of the dirty work. And lucky for us, Long Island has quite a few of them. But which is the Best Petting Zoo on Long Island? Before the snow melts for good, we bring you this year’s winners for Best Petting Zoo on Long Island.
Long Islanders Voted White Post Farms Best Petting Zoo on Long Island!
1. White Post Farms
250 Old Country Rd., Melville. 631-351-9373. www.whitepostfarms.com
White Post Farms was voted the Best Petting Zoo for the second year in a row. This year they added a new attraction, “Ronnie’s Birdie Landing,” where Budgies eat birdseed sticks right out of your hand. This is just an added plus to the kangaroos, llamas, ostriches and Grevy Zebras they have on hand. In addition to visiting these exotic animals, kids can also go on a mining adventure, take a pony ride and watch an animatronic singing chickens show.
