The newly sworn-in Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone is determined to reduce debt and financial troubles of Long Islanders in the midst of a nationwide recession. Bellone managed to reduce the number every year he was in office as Babylon Town Supervisor and ultimately delivered a $4.3 million tax cut to residents. He intends to apply the same passion and methodology to a county that needs such attention and care.
