Since being drafted with the first pick in the 2009 NHL Draft, center John Tavares has established himself as a fan favorite among Islanders fans. The 21-year-old led the Islanders in scoring for the second-straight season in 2010 with a career high 67 points. Tavares also showed he can shine in the clutch with a team high four game winning goals last year. Despite the Islanders struggles in recent years, Tavares has given fans a reason to pack into Nassau Coliseum.
