CYO of Long Island offers a variety of programs for children of all ages including soccer, track, swimming, volleyball, basketball and chess. Some of the programs are available to children from kindergarten through the 12th grade. CYO of Long Island was first established in 1958 and the organization has grown immensely since then. The programs now serve over 25,000 children a year across Long Island. CYO recently started a new initiative called “CYO Steadfast” that brings athletics to the children that need it. The program also provides educational and nutritional support for the children. Although the CYO was established through the Diocese of Rockville Center, the organization offers inclusive services to all children regardless of culture and faith.

The South Shore Sharks are providing opportunities for youth to play competitive baseball at a reasonable cost. They are committed to making each time on the field better than their last. They want to teach kids valuable skills that they can carry with them through college and beyond. The South Shore Sharks are giving the youth a way to practice endurance and teamwork — things that are extremely important later in life. Rooted in the Catholic tradition, CYO of Long Island provides these services in an inclusive and non-discriminatory manner respecting the culture and faith of all. CYO of Long Island was established in 1958 to provide athletic opportunities to children of the Diocese of Rockville Centre.
